I began my real estate career 20 years ago, as one of the lead receptionists at Prudential RE at the old Vista Building, or as we lovingly called it “Pru Blue!” I received my broker license, while working full time, and raising 2 lovely daughters at Sprague HS. I became a licensed assistant to one of the top agents, and we worked a brand new Keizer subdivision(Homes by Matt Sandstrum), which is how I got my intensive mentoring! When my Principal Broker moved her license to Arizona in 2004, I needed a little life changing event, and I moved my license to Emerald Coast Realty in Waldport. For the next 14 years, I sold real estate in our Central Oregon coastal market, from Yachats to Tillamook! “We Know The Coast” is their motto! I became the very valuable “weekend broker”, after the market “correction” of 2008, when my Nye Beach apt. sadly became a casualty of the financial times. As a direct consequence of the crash, for  the next 10 years, I commuted to Waldport, every Friday to every Sunday, and often by appt. as necessary for inspections. It’s been an emotional journey on my part this past year, often wondering if it’s time to bring my license back to Salem! When my eldest daughter recently announced she was expecting this June, I had my answer! I am very family oriented,  and I realized I wanted a bit of weekend time, for my 10 y.o. granddaughters first basketball season at Cascade! Claire is so looking forward to having a baby sister in June, (hopefully on her birthday)! I will miss the sunsets, the photography, and the sandy beaches in Bayshore, but selling real estate where I actually live, will be time which is gifted back to me and my family! I couldn’t be happier or more excited to have been introduced to Nicole Shuba, and I know that Manor Realty is a perfect fit for my experience, my family, and my personality!
